Zusammenfassung von allgemeine News zur 3.Season + 3.01Spoiler zur 3. Staffel:Spoiler (klicken zum Umschalten)Episode 3.01: 1:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m.Airdate: October 28, 2003 09/08 - During the four-minute sneak peak of the new season aired during "Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon" last night, we learn that Jack's new partner, Chase, is dating Kim. A Deadly virus will be released if the bad guy isn't freed. This virus will make at least one victim, will be hidden in cocaine, and can have global repercussions. Joaquim De Almeida is Ramon Salazar. Riley Smith will appear in the show but the name of his character is still unknown. During the preview, a narrator reads writings in white displayed on a black background. The writings say: Jack Bauer lives on the edge. Danger is in his blood. This fall, things are getting personal and, as a deadly threat grows, the strain has never been this extreme. Click HERE to view the sneak peak via Real Player. Source: FOX 08/04 - It will pick up three years in the future, with Palmer running for re-election, and still recovering from Mandy's palm attack. ... We'll see changes in his character after a brush with death. As for my man DB Woodside, I hear he'll be working with Palmer and also playing his brotha from the same mutha. Delish. Also, another new cast member joining the cast - Vanessa Ferlito (Undefeated) will play Claudia, the beautiful wife of a crime lord Jack is chasing.08/03 - A decomposed corpse infected with "pnuematic plague" (or "PNP") is unceremoniously deposited at a National Health Services building. The first thing we'll see in the (commercial-free) season opener is David Palmer's collapse following his encounter with hot, nakedness-prone lesbian assassin Mandy. We fade to black, then get a title card: "THREE YEARS LATER." When we first see David Palmer, he's up and preparing for a debate on the USC campus in Los Angeles. He's running for re-election against one Sen. Keeler. Palmer's new chief of staff makes mention of the president's "so-called weakened state" soon after Mandy's assassination attempt. When Palmer waves to the crowd, we see his hand is scarred, and when he's alone with staffers he demonstrates a momentary shortness of breath. But it's mentioned that no one has "done a full work-up" on Palmer in "a while." Woodside (Faith's principal boyfriend on the final season of "Buffy the Vampire Slayer") not only plays Palmer's new chief of staff, he plays Palmer's kid brother. Jack is Los Angeles director of field ops. Jack and Tony each run a different CTU department under the same roof. (It should be noted that Tony has just been offered a job that would relocate him to CIA HQ in Virginia.) We learn that Jack has spent the last year bringing to justice one Ramon Salazar, a "narco-terrorist." For six months, Jack was undercover, pretending to be Salazar's friend. Now that they've proven they have PNP, Salazar's associates threaten to release it into the general population unless Salazar is released by 8 p.m. [Salazr has quite a few associates.] One should probably pay special attention to brother Hector Salazar and Hector's fabulous but troubled trophy wife, Claudia. [Jack cares about PNP because] it's a "weaponized" strain of PNP, and could bring about nothing less than the end of the world. If released into the population it would kill more than a million Los Angeles civilians in the first week. There's a sense that Kate and Jack enjoyed a two-year relationship that is now long gone. Jack gets a call from Kate during the hour, but she's just asking for him to get more of his stuff out of her place. [Kim is indeed working at CTU.] She's kind of of the new Jamie Farrell (sans the traitorous component), and demonstrates a real faculty for computer science. (Absurd, you say? Remember please that when we first met Kim, she was challenging daddy Jack at chess.) In fact, Kim's role at CTU is a terrific antidote for those who maintain an abiding lust for Elisha Cuthbert, but little patience for Kim Bauer's inane predicaments. Michelle Dressler [is] still at CTU. Her relationship with Tony has undergone some changes since she betrayed him on Jack's behalf three years earlier. [Jack and Kim get along] but each has been keeping an enormous secret from the other for the last several months. Kim is anxious to tell Jack her secret. Jack wants no one to know about his. Jack's secret involves his health. [Kim's secret] involves [her] love life. General Season 3 Spoilers: 09/09 - Reiko Aylesworth will be a series regular. 09/08 - Three years have passed since the finale, and Jack Bauer (Kiefer Sutherland) now runs a field-ops unit at CTU. President Palmer (Dennis Haysbert) survived the germ-warfare assassination attempt, but, says executive producer Howard Gordon, ''He is not the same man.'' DB Woodside (''Buffy'') recurs as the new chief of staff, and Andrea Thompson (''NYPD Blue'') turns up as a terrorism expert, while the nefarious Sherry Palmer (Penny Johnson Jerald) may resurface later. Jack's relationship with Kate Warner (Sarah Wynter) has expired, and his daughter, Kim (Elisha Cuthbert), ''has taken a large step into adulthood,'' says Gordon. (He won't confirm rumors that Kim is engaged, pregnant, and working at CTU.) But, ''she will not be chased by any cougars.''09/01 - Paul Schulze, is coming back to "24" as a recurring, reprising his role as CTU member Ryan Chappelle. 09/01 - Andrea Thompson, Detective Jill Kirkendall on "NYPD Blue," will play the new CTU technical expert on "24." [Added by Izzy: Andrea is rumoured to first appear in episode 3.]08/20 - Mrs. Palmer is not coming back as a series regular, but she may return as a recurring. They've cast a boatload of new characters, including a new love interest for President Palmer -- Wendy Crewson. So it seems there will be little room for Penny and Sarah Wynter (also not a regular). 08/09 - TV Guide is reporting that "24" star Kiefer Sutherland had a tattoo permanently inked into his arm - because his alter-ego, Jack Bauer, will sport a tattoo on the show this season as part of an undercover operation.08/09 - AICN reports that contrary to a few articles and reports, Kim WILL NOT have a female lover this season. The script AICN got clearly states that her love interest is a male but that Kim's love interest this season has a not-very-gender-specific first name.08/03 - Vanessa Ferlito (HBO's "Undefeated") is the latest thesp to join the "24" fold. Ferlito has been cast to play the recurring character of Claudia, a woman connected to the criminal element that Jack Bauer (Kiefer Sutherland) is pursuing. Thesp, who recently wrapped a role in "The Amazing Spider-Man," could appear in up to 10 segs of the Fox drama, which kicks off its third season on Oct. 28. 07/28 - Buffy's Principal Wood is joining the cast, along with Wendy Crewson (Air Force One, Santa Claus), James Badge Dale (Lord of the Flies), Agnes Bruckner (Murder by Numbers), Riley Smith (Gideon's Crossing), and Zachary Quinto (Down with Love). As for who's playing what -- I know Wendy will be a love interest to one of the main fellas. She'll be on for at least eight episodes. 07/26 - Season 3 will jump forward two and a half years with Tony, Tony, Tony still in charge of CTU (apparently everyone has stayed out of his chair). President Palmer will still be around, but Kate will only make a brief appearance. And have you heard the rumor that Kim will now work for CTU? Is that because she's displayed such clear-headed thinking during the first two seasons?07/25 - Word has it that Palmer may actually not be the president. And those worried about Penny Johnson Jerald not appearing in the new season can rest easy. She will be back for at least one short story arc on the show (where she will once again come face to face with Palmer). 07/25 - DB Woodside, Agnes Bruckner and newcomer Zachary Quinto have joined the upcoming season of Fox's real-time drama "24" as recurrings. On the Emmy-nominated series, Woodside will play the president's new chief of staff. Bruckner's character runs into trouble when her boyfriend gets involved in drug trafficking. Woodside was a recurring last season on the UPN series "Buffy the Vampire Slayer." His credits also include the series "Murder One," miniseries "The Temptations" and the feature "Romeo Must Die." Bruckner co-starred in the feature "Murder by Numbers" and will next be seen in "Risk" and "Stateside."07/19 - As previously reported, the show will jump three years into the future. Jack Bauer (Kiefer Sutherland), who's back working at the government's Counter-Terrorism Unit, will have a partner. Bauer's daughter Kim (Elisha Cuthbert) is also working at CTU. Dennis Haysbert will be back, which would appear to mean that President Palmer survived the biological attack that felled him in last season's finale. The timeline of the show would put Palmer in the middle of a re-election campaign, something Berman says is probably a safe bet.07/19 - The third "24" season will pick up three years after the second, at which point Kim Bauer will be in CTU's employ, said Berman. And so will her daddy, Jack. The third-season opener, like the second-season opener, will unfurl commercial-free.07/19 - Looks like Jack Bauer's getting a partner for the third season of "24." Thesp James Badge Dale has been cast in the series regular role of Chase [Exen], a young CTU agent who ends up working side-by-side with Kiefer Sutherland's character. Both Bauer's reaction to having a partner and the duration of the pairing are unknown, as are any other details of Dale's character. Producers on the hit Fox skein have typically been tightlipped about plot details, so it's no surprise they declined comment on the new addition. Dale, 25, played Simon in 1990's remake of "Lord of the Flies." last season he guested on "Hack" and "law & Order: Special Victims Unit." He's the son of thesps Anita Morris and Grover Dale. 07/19 - Kim will be back and will play an even - brace yourself -- bigger role this season. A source tells me that Kim is going to insist on accompanying daddy on this season's mission because she fears for his health, which has been ailing for the "two years" since the show left off. 07/13 - Dennis Haysbert will be returning as David Palmer in Season Three. 07/13 - It would appear that Jack Bauer is going to have Kim with him when all of the excitement starts next season. She fears for his health (which has kept him out of commission), so when he decides to start fighting the baddies again she demands to come along. 07/08 - Despite past reports that the show will pick up a day after the last season left off, the latest scoopage is that 24 will flash forward at least a year for the first episode. [Just enough time for Palmer to have recovered from his flesh-eating, Mandy-imposed virus? Things to make you go hmmm.] Another "hmm" is what will happen with Jack and Kate. Sarah Wynter was just quoted in the Australian press as saying things will get hot and heavy with J&K this season, but since she's not a series regular, don't expect their bootylicious bliss to last too long.07/04 - The most notable change will be a time jump - "It's going to be about two, two-and-a-half years later. Many things may have changed. It's a fair amount of time for old wounds to have healed and new ones to have been inflicted". Therefore its likely the cliffhanger elements involving Palmer and Jack will only be referred to rather than solved on the screen. The cast looks to undergo a shake-up as well with the characters of Sherry Palmer (Penny Johnson Jerald) and Kate Warner (Sarah Wynter) are not signed on as regular cast members next season though that news is surprising as Wynter indicated things get 'steamy' next season between her and Jack to the Australian press recently. Their exclusion however does not mean they're entirely out, and it seems almost certain they'll appear in a few eps much like Nina (Sarah Clarke) did this year - "Nothing is impossible. In fact, Kate does make an appearance, but she's not been cast as a regular. The same goes for Penny. This is real fluid. They are characters that live in our universe, and it's entirely possible that they'll be back." 06/23 - Three new characters will be added. It is unknown at this time if they will be regular or recurring characters. Ramon Salazar: A Hispanic man, he is in his mid-30s to mid-40s and head of a major narco-terroist organization. He is described as "smart, sharp and ruthless." Hector Moya: Also Hispanic, he is of the same age as Salazar and also a drug baron. He heads up the organization's South American operations and is described as an "elegant gangster." Claudia: In her mid- to late-20s, she is Hector's girlfriend. The casting notes say they are looking for a Latina, but they're saying she South American (perhaps a plot point?). She is described as "very sexy, but smart and nobody's fool." 0 6/22 - Dennis Haysbert's fate is still unknown for season 3. 06/22 - A reliable source told me contracts were not renewed for 24 stars Penny Johnson Jerald (Sherry Palmer) and Sarah Wynter (Kate), meaning they most likely won't return as series regulars. I'm told that Monday was the deadline for Fox to exercise their options, and execs decided not to for those two. A rep at the 20th Century Fox confirms the contracts weren't renewed. However, he insists that doesn't mean we will see less of Penny and Sarah, citing Reiko Aylesworth, who plays Michelle, as a non-regular who appeared in every episode last season.06/05 - On board next season, according to a tentative cast list: Kiefer Sutherland (duh!), Sarah Wynter (Kate), Reiko Aylesworth (Michelle), Paul Schulze (Chappelle) and Carlos Bernard (Almeida). Noticeably absent (and, I'm guessing, a sneaky omission by Fox) are Penny Johnson Jerald (Mrs. Palmer) and Dennis Haysbert (President Palmer). Jerald is expected to return even if her onscreen hubby does not. Also, Mia Kirshner--the "palmer" who palmed Palmer and blew up the plane in the very first episode--will be back for at least one installment. 06/02 - Fox has been understandably mum on the prognosis for Palmer, but a little detective work shows that Dennis Haysbert is not listed in the slate of returning actors for next season. (Though it could be a clever omission and I would NOT put it past them.) Who is on the list? Sarah Wynter (Kate), Elisha Cuthbert (Kim - why, dear god, why???), Reiko Aylesworth (Michelle), Paul Schulze (Chappelle), Carlos Bernard (Almeida) and you'll never guess who else ... Kiefer. Gasp! 05/23 - Mad bomber Mandy (Mia Kirshner) -- one of the few, surviving evildoers from Season One -- resurfaced in the final scene to poison President Palmer (Dennis Haysbert) with a biotoxic handshake! Is the commander-in-chief DOA? Fox isn't squealing, but according to Bill Martel, an expert in weapons of mass destruction and a professor at the U.S. Naval War College in Newport, R.I., Palmer's odds of survival are good. "It looks like he was [attacked] with a blister agent called Lewisite," he says, adding that the germ can be fatal in the absence of immediate medical attention. "But being the president, he has more medical attention around him than 99 percent of the people on the planet." Source: TV Guide Online 05/23 - TV Times talked with Kiefer Sutherland about what to expect next season - "We've planned a third season, even from the first day of doing season two. The events of the season finale set up what will be our third season. Sarah [Wynter] is back, but that's all I care to say."
